Angus has been working with the Eden Project (a rich global garden in huge domes) in Cornwall, UK, every year since its build stage in 2000. The original idea was to bring some colour and movement to what was then a very raw and new place, a huge muddy building site mostly. Since then the planting has come along very quickly and so the tenor of the flags has changed too. The flags have been used to lead visitors into different areas and to augment the planting, notably the ‘Bulb Mania’ phase where the thousands of tulips and daffodils were joined by 17,000 flaglettes. More recently the ‘Eden Sessions’ have hosted the African artists live-link to ‘Live 8’ and performances by major bands with ‘green’ attitude, with Oasis opening Edens’ summer “Sessions” this year.
